The Norwood Area

This area is typically not at risk to flooding due to the primary dikes that exist along Lyndale Road. This year, concerns existed for some lower portions along the Red.

Some lower homes are at considered at risk of being surrounded by the Red. Mounds of sandbags sit waiting if needed to close off driveways leading to home along the Red River.

Across the Red River from Lyndale, the Redboine Boating Club sits well below the level of the Red.

Please watch this space for additional updates. We will be bringing you more stories in the days ahead.

Good Luck in Your Sandbagging Efforts!!

Normally the left face of this Rowing Club building has a view of the Red River. Today, the river surrounds it on three sides.

Sandbags sit atop the primary dikes of Lyndale Road.

Sandbags piles sit if needed to seal driveways leading to riverbank homes.
